    According to Los Angeles Police , the driver of the Toyota Prius being chased, was wanted on an armed carjacking warrant and considered armed and dangerous. They began monitoring it around 5:30 p.m. in the area of San Fernando Road and Montague Street in Pacoima. They monitored the suspect for several hours and when being “lit up”, the pursuit began at 9:15 p.m. The chase ended in a Valley Village intersection at Colfax Avenue and Riveside Drive. It was being pursued by police where the driver collided with two other cars.

    It was reported that seven people were involved in the two vehicles hit by the suspect who caused the accident. The suspect entered the intersection at a very high speed. In one of the cars, two women and three children managed to escape the wreckage of the crash caused by a carjacking suspect. A 5-year old child suffered cuts to his head and was hospitalized. The suspect was also hospitalized with minor injuries. No one suffered major injuries.

    Information on the identify of the suspect in his 30’s has not been reported as of this update.
