Both suspects are in custody after a short but dangerous pursuit in California.

As soon as ABC7 started their coverage the the passenger of the stolen vehicle got out of the car as the driver continued to flee from police at a very high rate of speed on the streets of California 

Police went into tracking mode as the speeds were to dangerous plus the CHP helicopter was overhead. The driver of the stolen vehicle eventually came to a stop and fled on foot jumping into backyards trying to find a hiding spot but was shortly taken into custody without further incidents
