A carjacking suspect led police on a short but dangerous pursuit and a NBC Los Angeles channel 4 was there to bring us live coverage of the pursuit .
The carjacking suspect tried to get away but the LAPD had other ideas . One officer tried a pit maneuver but the suspect got away driving on the sidewalk. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and before he could try another evasive maneuver a patrol car was there too stop him and crashed into the officer head on.
